Musketeers Institute equips church and community youth with hands-on emergency response training in Nakuru
The Musketeers Institute of Science and Technology, in partnership with local churches and community groups, is spearheading the Emergency Aid Mashinani CSR Project to train youth in Nakuru.
The initiative provides hands-on emergency response training, covering skills such as incident and casualty management, CPR, shock and bleeding control, musculoskeletal injury management, managing road traffic accidents, and evacuation techniques.
The first session was held on 13th September 2025 at What Matters Ministry in Rhonda, followed by another on 15th September 2025 at The Salvation Army in Kaptembwa.

The trainings are taking place in all sub counties of Nakuru, targeting churches and community-based organizations as the key mobilizers.
The project aims to empower young people with life-saving knowledge and confidence to respond during emergencies, recognizing that ordinary community members are often the first responders when crises occur.
Through practical, instructor-led sessions, more than 500 youths have so far been trained, with an intention of reaching 5000 youths between September and December 202. The Musketeers Institute is calling on more churches and community organizations to register as beneficiaries through https://csr.mist.ac.ke/ or by contacting 0700 904 523.

“This project is about giving young people the confidence and ability to step in during critical moments and save lives,” said Mr Mboma, the Chief Facilitator and also Registrar of the institution.
By extending its mission beyond classrooms, the Musketeers Institute of Science and Technology is not only shaping careers but also strengthening communities—proving that practical skills can save lives.Author: Journalism Student
